    Barr Called False Claims Act an “Abomination” and urged the Solicitor General to “attack” the law


    President Trump has nominated a radical anti-whistleblower advocate to be the new Attorney General of the United States. The Department of Justice is responsible for enforcing numerous whistleblower laws, including the qui tam provisions of the False Claims Act, the most successful whistleblower law in history. As explained in the press release reprinted below, Barr’s nomination must be stopped.

  • Urge Your Representatives to Support Legislation That Combats Wildlife Trafficking!

    On May 8, 2018, Rep. Madeleine Bordallo (D-GU) and Rep. Don Young (R-AK), leading members of the House Natural Resources Committee, introduced a groundbreaking anti-wildlife trafficking bill which will revolutionize the ability of law enforcement to prosecute traffickers. This is the most powerful anti-wildlife trafficking bill of our generation.

  • Urge U.S. Federal Agencies To Recognize National Whistleblower Day!

    The U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a resolution to recognize July 30, 2018 as "National Whistleblower Appreciation Day."  

    240 years ago, on July 30th, 1778, our Founding Fathers unanimously passed America's first whistleblower protection law. This visionary action, taken during the height of the American Revolution, stands today as a testament to the importance of whistleblowing in our history. This is a day that should be remembered and celebrated.

    TAKE ACTION: Urge U.S. federal agencies to formally recognize July 30th as National Whistleblower Day! Urge Trump to pass an executive order permanently establishing National Whistleblower Day!

    We must remember how our Founding Fathers stood up to defend whistleblowers, and demand that our current leaders follow this tradition—to support and honor the sacrifices whistleblowers have endured, and ensure that our nation's laws protect these heroes.

  • Federal Employee Whistleblowers Denied Due Process Rights

    Federal employee whistleblowers are being denied basic due process rights by the failure of Congress to permit these courageous workers to bring their case to federal court. 

    Under current law, federal employees are blocked from having their cases heard in federal district court, and instead have to go before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) —a three-person body appointed by the President. Whistleblowers are judged by the very political officials they are blowing the whistle on!

    TAKE ACTION! Demand that Congress grants federal employee whistleblowers the same access to an independent court review, as state and local government employees and corporate employees.

    Although the MSPB procedure has been harshly criticized over the years, things have become worse. As reported in today's Washington Post, President Trump has failed to nominate members to the Board, thus denying the right of federal whistleblowers to have their cases decided. The steadily growing backlog of 660 cases, is leaving hundreds of people in limbo with no resolution in sight.

    Without federal court access, it will take whistleblowers years to obtain decisions from the Board.

    TAKE ACTION! Give federal employee whistleblowers the right to file cases in federal court!
